Timeline
Background
- October 2018
We started as a student organization, motivated to create social change in our community. As members of the Rawlings Undergraduate Leadership Fellows (RULF) Program at the University of Maryland, we decided to focus on hunger and homelessness.
Certification- November 2018
We created some alternative solutions to helping families in need. One method is to help people experiencing homelessness to register to vote, so that they could have an influence in the laws that govern their life. We became certified to register people to vote at the Board of Elections.
Voter registration - College park community food bank December 2018
We held our first voter registration event at College Park Community Food Bank, which is a non-profit organization that distributes bags of food to families in need.

We began hosting a clothing donation drive by setting up donation boxes in residential dorms at the University of Maryland. Then we set up more donations boxes at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, as well as other cities.
Folding clothes - April 2019
We collected all of the clothes from the donation boxes and categorized them based on their type (pants, sweaters, jackets, etc.). Then we sorted out the clothes based on whether they were professional or casual. This system made it easier for us to organize our donations when we distributed them to the organizations.
Recipients - June 2019
We distributed our clothing donations to two non-profit organizations, ; A Wider Circle and Interfaith Works. We gave our professional clothes to A Wider Circle because they provide job training, and we gave our casual clothes to Interfaith Works because they allow low-income families to fill a bag full of clothes for free once a month.
